Students do not pay tuition and fees at orientation. Bills are generated after students have registered for classes.
Please bring a current photo ID. You will receive your MavCard, which officially identifies you as a Minnesota State Mankato student. The MavCard functions as several cards in one. This card may be linked to a bank account on campus. We encourage you to view the information about your MavCard options at the MavCard page.
Transfer students: Please bring a copy of your completed Transfer Credit Evaluation, if you have already received it and a copy of your current transcripts for academic advising purposes.
If you will not be able to attend the program unexpectedly, full refunds are issued only with a cancellation in writing or by phone at least five business days
prior to the day of the orientation program. Those who do not give five days notice of changes, or do not show up, will be charged the entire program fee.
You must attend an orientation program to register for classes unless you:
will only take classes at Extended Campus locations,
are earning a degree from South Central Technical College and are completing only your general education requirements, or
have already completed a four-year degree. If this is the case, please contact our office at 507-389-5498.
