Geology 201, Elements of Mineralogy

Elements of Mineralogy contains three basic themes: Introductory crystallography, introductory mineralogy, and economic/environmental mineralogy.

Although Geology 201 has no prerequesites. An introductory course in the earth sciences that includes discussions of minerals and rocks is considered beneficial. Geology 201 contains weekly laboratories to learn and practice crystal and mineral identification.
