The 2008 Great Place to Work survey was thorough.

From the practical to personal, it brought to the forefront our employees' views on the University as a work environment.

The results allow the Great Place To Work Task force to take action in areas that need improvement. It also allows recognition of areas where satisfaction is high.

This page offers the full range of topics and responses. Just click on the links below to jump to a specific category.

In addition to acting on the base-level results that came in with the survey, the Task Force is cross referencing the data to establish more detailed ways to enhance the University's workplace.

A note on reading the results: Participants responded to statements by using a 1 to 4 range, with 1 being "strongly disagree" and 4 being "strongly agree." The graphs below measure positive responses to each topic. Graphs marked with an asterisk (*) represent favorable responses ("strongly disagree" and "disagree") for negatively worded items.

Graphs colored in green represent areas of strength, yellow graphs are areas for possible improvement and red indicates areas to be addressed by the Great Place To Work Task Force.

The colors were established by the percentage of favorable responses. Red areas reflect favorable response ratings of 70 percent or lower; yellow areas a rate between 70 percent and 79.9 percent; and green areas a rate of at least 80 percent.
