Spring 2021 Commencement Information

We have decided not to hold the in-person spring commencement ceremonies originally scheduled for May 8, 2021. Although the pandemic situation remains fluid, and we may be seeing improvements as the vaccine roll-out continues, we are taking this step under guidance of the Minnesota Department of Health and MinnState System Office because we are concerned about everyone’s safety and well-being.

Please know that we understand that this news is disappointing to our graduates, their families, and the campus community. We know that many of our faculty, staff and administrators were also looking forward to the traditional graduation day.

Graduates will have an opportunity to be celebrated through a virtual commencement ceremony and will be invited to participate in an in-person professional photo opportunity on campus the week leading up to graduation. Details about these opportunities are being shared with graduating students via MavMail.
