The stage can be made accessible for graduates with special needs. A sign language interpreter will be on stage throughout each ceremony. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 507-389-3235 (v), 800-627-3529 or 711 (MRS/TTY) or email events@mnsu.edu in advance to ensure that special needs will be met.
When guests with special needs arrive at Bresnan Arena they should contact a volunteer. Volunteers wear black vests and will assist the guests to the designated area in the arena. The Office of Alumni Relations will provide the printed program in an alternate format, such as large print, upon request.
PLEASE NOTE: no strollers will be allowed in the Bresnan Arena on the day of Commencement as strollers are a potential hazard and to allow for necessary room for wheelchairs. We will provide an area where you may park your stroller, however, Minnesota State Mankato in not liable for should theft or damage occur. Wheelchairs are no longer available for use.
Guests with a special needs parking sticker can park in lots 8 and 9. In the event that these lots are full, please plan to drop off your special needs guest(s) at the Taylor Center entrance. See map.
