Show your Maverick Pride!
8:00am – 10:00pm Campus Wide
Today is the day for wearing the Purple and Gold!! Show your Maverick Pride by sporting your favorite MSU apparel!
On-Campus Alumni Luncheon
11:30 – 1:00 pm CSU Ballroom
Luncheon for Alumni Faculty and Staff, hosted by the Alumni Association. Are you one of the more than 500 faculty and staff who are Minnesota State Mankato alumni? Still wistful that you were never elected to the Homecoming Court? Come get your second chance to wear the crown! You’ll receive ballots and an invitation to the luncheon via campus mail in the next few weeks.
Stomper’s Pep Rally
7:00pm-10:00pm Old Track (Behind Gage)
Come out to the old track for a night that you will be sure to remember. The evening will kick off with the Cheer Contest for the Homecoming competition. The night will continue with a visit from the football coach, players, and the dance and cheer teams who will pump up the crowd for the upcoming contest with North Dakota. The night will conclude with a concert by rock band Ha Ha Tonka near the glow of a Homecoming bonfire! Sponsored by the MSU Student Homecoming Committee and MSU Athletics.

7:30pm Ted Paul Theatre
Individual tickets for Cats are $20.00 regular, $18.00 for senior citizens, youth 16 and under and groups of 15 or more, $14.00 for current Minnesota State students. They go on sale Sept. 18; tickets, as available, may be purchased beginning one hour before the performance at the Theatre & Dance Box Office in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Late Night Fun!
10:00pm-2:00am Centennial Student Union
Don’t let the Friday night fun end early! After the bonfire, head on over to the Centennial Student Union for more food, music, and fun! Come down to listen to some music, stop by the Maverick Game Room for FREE bowling and billiards, or pop in to grab some late-night refreshments. The party won’t stop until 2:00 in the morning, so bring your friends and come prepared for some late night fun! Sponsored by the Centennial Student Union.
MSU Homecoming Parade

Wake up, grab some breakfast, and head over to campus to take part in this memorable Homecoming event, the MSU Homecoming Parade. See the crazy and creative floats constructed by MSU students, check out the fun to be had at local Mankato businesses, and listen to live music. Don’t miss the fun, or the free parade candy!

Homecoming Football Game

Bring your Maverick spirit and come ready to cheer on your football team as they compete against the University of North Dakota in this year’s Homecoming match-up. Come join the roar of Maverick fans as we show North Dakota that they can’t come into our house over our Homecoming weekend without a fight. This is what Homecoming is all about, and there is no better way to show off your MSU pride! The Ellis Street Singers will perform the Star Spangled Banner for the football game.

B.J. Novak – Stand-Up Comedian
8:00pm Taylor Center
You may recognize him from NBC’s popular sitcom, The Office, as Ryan “the temp.” Tonight B.J. Novak will entertain MSU-Mankato during the Blowout Comedy Event for Homecoming 2007. B.J. Novak got his start in the entertainment industry by doing stand-up comedy, and since then his career has taken off. Check him out on myspace.com and be sure to mark your calendars for a hilarious night of comedy! Sponsored by the MSU Student Homecoming Committee.

After a night of comedy, head over to Carkoski Commons (between the McElroy and Crawford residence halls) for a chance to win over $2,000 in prizes at Homecoming Bingo Night! Be there early as the first game has a $200 prize and the last game, a $750 prize. Since you can’t win if you don’t participate, be sure to stop over for the final night of Homecoming fun! Doors open at 10 PM with the first game starting at 10:30 PM. Seating is limited to 500 and there is no cost to participate! Sponsored by Residential Life.
