Admission for Fall 2013
High School Seniors who have been accepted into the Honors Program for Fall 2013 should complete four important steps to ensure their place with the incoming class.
- Kindly inform us as soon as possible, but certainly by April 30th, of your intention to accept our invitation to join the Honors Program by returning the enclosed form, calling 507-389-5191, or emailing at honors@mnsu.edu.
- Register for New Student Orientation. Spaces are reserved for Honors students at two orientations, on 17-18 or 19-20 June. Please choose one or the other date when you register at http://www.mnsu.edu/fye/orientation/new/dates.html. If the date you want is filled, sign up for a different orientation and then call Mel Iverson at the New Student and Family Programs (507-389-5498) to have her manually move your orientation date to one of the two orientations reserved for Honors students.
- Register for the Honors Learning Community at http://www.mnsu.edu/fye/communities/form/
- Complete your Housing Request at http://www.mnsu.edu/reslife/new/index.html. We expect that new Honors students will be assigned to the Honors floor in the Preska I Residence Community. If you are planning to live in another learning community, with an athletic team, or off-campus in the Greater Mankato area, please let us know. Any other alternative housing requests should be submitted for consideration by the Honors Director.
