We are soliciting nominations for the Claire Faust Public Service Award prior to many people leaving our campus for the end of the academic year. The recipient will receive his or her award at the Fall Convocation. If your previous nomination was unsuccessful, you may update the information and resubmit the nomination. The Claire E. Faust Public Service Award was developed to recognize a Minnesota State University, Mankato employee for outstanding service to the university, community, state and nation. It was named after Claire E. Faust, former Vice President of Administrative Affairs at Minnesota State University, Mankato. To date, nine employees have been recipients of the award: Claire E. Faust in 1988, Kuhn Lee 1989, Georgene Brock 1998, Kathy Steiner 1999, David Cowan 2000, David Allan 2001, Kathleen Trauger in 2002, Bill Bernhagen and Stewart Ross in 2003, Barbara Carson in 2004 and Tony Filipovitch in 2005. The Employee Recognition Committee is coordinating the nominating process for the award. The president will make the final decision on the annual award recipient. The award will be presented to the successful recipient at the Fall Convocation. Recipients will receive a distinguished plaque and also be recognized on a permanent plaque displayed within the university.
