To All Insured Staff and Faculty:
Please see the letter from Commissioner Patricia Anderson regarding changes to the Canadian pharmacy program, Minnesota Advantage Meds. The Canadian Drug Formulary list and a list of drugs being discontinued in 2008 are included with the letter.
According to the information provided by DOFER at Open Enrollment and posted on the DOFER website, it was origonally stated that the change to Navitus would not impact the Canadian pharmacy program. Thus a message was sent Monday December 17th stating as such. However, as the attached letter dated December 20 indicates, there will be some changes after all. It does not look like the Advantage Meds website, www.advantage-meds.com, has been updated yet, but it probably will be soon.
If you use the Canadian pharmacy program, please review the attached list of drugs that will no longer be available in 2008. Fortunately, refills for existing prescriptions will be allowed for awhile.
