One of the goals of the Kearney International Center is to encourage students from around the world to share their culture, ideas, and talents with one another. Each year international student groups organize and present a variety of events and programs. Each of these is a wonderful opportunity for cultural enrichment and entertainment.

We invite you to take a look at both the Nationality Nights and the Mankato Area International Festival.

All of the Minnesota State Mankato campus events contribute the dynamic campus culture.


Signature Cultural Event Nights

Fall 2014

Eurasian Culture Night:

When: Saturday, October 18th from 6-9pm

Where: CSU Ballroom 

  • Experience food and entertainment from various Eurasian countries
  • Information regarding ticket price and purchasing instructions coming soon!

Southeast Asia Culture Night:

When: November 8th

Diversity & International Education Week: 

November 3-7

Diversity & International Education Week is not only promoted and celebrated by the Kearney International Center, but by MSU as a whole! Information will be provided here and will also be advertised on MSU's homepage for events throughout the week. 

Events Include: 

International Students Photo Contest

When: Continues throughout November 3-7

Voting will be open to the public from 11am-2pm in the CSU Lincoln Lounge (between Jazzman's Cafe and Ostrander Auditorium)

Mankato Area International Festival

April 12th

  • The Festival is Minnesota State University, Mankato's largest International Event. The Mankato Area International Festival will provide attendees with a passport to discover a colorful flag parade, great singing, dancing, a fashion show, food vendors, cultural displays, children's area for making crafts, as well as a silent auction to raise funds for the International Festivals.
  • The festival celebrates diversity and culture from around the world and within the Mankato community. This event provides a common message of peace, harmony and friendship. It also gives an opportunity for attendees to experience many cultures under a single roof.
