Before You Leave Home

AFTER YOU ARE ADMITTED:

If you have ANY questions about the:

• shipping of your Admissions Letter & I-20
• issuance of your I-20 in general
• the required Orientation
• planning for your arrival on our university campus,

You must work DIRECTLY with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) in the Kearney International Center (NOT Admissions). You may contact the IC staff by telephone at 507-389-1281 or via email at: ISSS@mnsu.edu

 

• If you are under 18, parents sign the Minor Consent Form
• Please arrange your Housing before you arrive
• If you arrive before the move-in date, here are resources for temporary Hotel/Motel stays, or for family that comes with you
• Please make your Flight Reservation keeping in mind the dates of orientation
• Money Matters
• If you forsee a delay in your arrival please for the process for Late Arrivals
  
• Orientation is mandatory all 3 days

 

Please bring the dates of your most recent tetanus/diphtheria (Td) and Measles/mumps/rubella (MMR) to complete the Immunization Record. A mantoux (TB) screening will be required. If you have had this screening in the past year, please bring those records.

 

 

When you arrive at Minnesota State University, Mankato it is very important that you check in at the Kearney International Center-Centennial Student Union Room 250-to collect your orientation materials .

When checking in you must bring:

• All I-20/DS-2019 issued to you
• Your passport with I-94 card
• Transcript from previous school (Transfer students only)
• Immunization record
• Any other admissions related documents
