Program Prerequisites

Applicants must have the following:

  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 semester credits in psychology including: introductory psychology, statistics, research methods, social psychology, and either personality or cognitive psychology. Students with deficiencies in the prerequisite courses are rarely admitted. It is generally preferable to complete such courses prior to beginning graduate studies.
  • A G.P.A. of at least 3.0 for their undergraduate work.
  • Completion of the GRE General Test

All application materials must be received by February 15th. 

To apply to the M.A. program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at MSU, please complete the following:

  1. Application materials can be downloaded below (you will need Acrobat Reader), if you have difficulties contact us at (507) 389-2724.

     

    You will need receive the following materials: Immunization Form, Industrial/Organizational Psychology Application, Letter of Recommendation Form, The Graduate Studies Bulletin, and information about financial aid. There is also a Graduate Studies application. This application must be completed online.

    To download the remaining application materials, use the links below to obtain the documents. Save the documents to your computer. You may then open them and fill them out directly on your PC. Upon completion of the forms, print them out and send hard copies directly to the appropriate address below.

  2. Complete the Graduate Studies Application online. The completed immunization form, GRE scores, and official transcripts from all your undergraduate institutions should be sent to the Graduate Studies Office:
