Updates to Course Merge/Sync in D2L Brightspace in 2022

What’s new?
Starting mid-March 2022, we are updating to a NEW integration. This will improve the software that syncs Regstrar/eServices records with D2L Brightspace!
What will change?
There are a few key updates and changes that will start mid-March 2022:
- Nearly real-time syncing: Courses and enrollments sync every 15 to 30 minutes – no/low wait time for course access!
- Course removal now available: Faculty can “remove” any unused D2L Brightspace courses with just a few clicks in our new course request self-service tool! Restore those courses quickly using the same tool.
- Improved course naming: Course names will now include a semester and year code (FA21, SP22, SU22, etc…) to quickly distinguish between courses:
- Current: AIS 113-01 Elementary Ojibwe II
- New: SP22 AIS 113 01 Elementary Ojibwe II
- New self-service course merge/group tool: There will be a new self-service tool to merge/group your courses with the same quick sync time as enrollments. Just log in with your MavMail credentials!
