Note: These directions are for rooms without a touch screen. If you are using a
touch screen, replace steps 2 and 3 with selecting the "Laptop" button on your touch screen
- Begin by plugging the VGA connector, which is accessible from the top of the cabinet, into the back
port of your laptop. Then turn on your laptop
.
- Open the cabinet and hold in the "Display Power" button for three seconds.

- After the system has turned on and all lights have stopped flashing, push the laptop button on the
control panel until it turns blue.

- If you are using a Dell computer, hold "Fn" key down and press "F8". If you are using a IBM
Thinkpad, hold "Fn" key down and press "F7". This allows you to toggle between laptop view, laptop and
projector view, and projector view.

- Lastly, when class is finished, hold in the "Display Power" button for three seconds or until the
green light blinks to power down the system.

- To view Mac laptop on projector screen: Go to the Apple Menu
- Go to the Control Panel
- Click on Monitors and Sound
- Under Resolution, select SimulScan
Older laptops without "Fn" capabilities
- Right-click on your Desktop, go to Properties
- Click on the Settings Tab, then click on Advanced
- Go to the NeoMagic tab
- Under Internal Display: Make sure LCD is checked
- Under External Display: Make sure CRT/Projector is checked
- Check Set Dual-Display, click OK
