Information and Procedures for MSU Faculty and Staff

The following is to advise the campus community of the test scanning services offered to all faculty by the ITS/Test Scanning staff.

Test Forms

Only use the General Purpose Pearson NCS Answer Sheet Form no. 4521. These answer sheets are available from individual department offices or the campus bookstore. We in  ITS do not have the scanner that reads the smaller, green sheets. On the answer key the instructor needs to have the correct answers filled in and can leave blank the upper left hand field that is titled "Name".

Job Request Form

The instructor needs to fill out a "Job Request Form". This form includes basic contact information and lets us know which analysis reports are needed by the instructor. These are available at the front desk area of ITS in ML3010.

Turnaround Time

Normal turn around time is 24 hours. This is especially true during Finals Week. During slower times when equipment is up and running and full staff is available, the shortest turn around time possible is four (4) hours.

Pick Up of Processed Exams

Please arrange to have the student exam sheets picked up once they are processed. Your department's Office Manager can help you make these arrangements. If no one is at the front desk area, please go back to the IT Service Desk area & ask for a full-time staff person to assist. The IT Service Desk is open 8am – 7:00pm M-F.
