Click on the Start menu and move the cursor over the Settings option.
Select the Control Panel in the Settings menu.
Double click on the Network icon and select the Configuration tab.
In the Configuration tab will be a list of services and protocols associated with your network connection. Scroll through this list and find the TCP/IP protocol.
After you have found the TCP/IP protocol, highlight it and select the Properties button (be sure to select the protocol that lists your Ethernet card manufacturer and model, not the Dial-Up adapter).
When the TCP/IP Properties window opens, select the IP Address tab. Select the 'Obtain an IP address automatically' option.
Select the WINS Configuration tab and click the 'Disable WINS Resolution' option.
Click on the DNS Configuration tab and disable DNS.
Select the Gateway tab and make sure that there has been no gateway address values added.
Click OK to close the TCP/IP Properties and Network windows.
You may be prompted to restart your computer. If so, select Yes. Also, if you get an error message saying that, "Your network setup is not complete, do you wish to continue?" answer Yes.
Refer to the Registration section for additional setup instructions.
