IMAP and POP3 configuration

This page assumes that you are familiar with IMAP and/or POP and have a good reason for using IMAP or POP over default connection methods for MavMAIL. Emphasized text should be replaced with information specific to your account. Labels used by your IMAP client may vary from labels used on this page.

• User name: your campus username.
• Password: your password.
• Email address: firstname.lastname@mnsu.edu. The full official email should be used.
• Incoming server name: mavmail.mnsu.edu.
• Incoming server port (IMAP): 143 OR
  Incoming server port (POP3): 110.
• Incoming server security: STARTTLS.
• Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.mnsu.edu.
• Outgoing server port: 25.
• Outgoing server security: STARTTLS.
• Directory server (LDAP): ldap.mnsu.edu.
• Directory server port: 389.
