The MnSCU digital satellite system was established in 1998 to serve all MnSCU campuses with a means of receiving video communications directly from MnSCU. The programs from this Satellite are viewable in the Instructional Technologies conference room. Programs range from State Legislative specials to specialized training programs offered by MnSCU.
The C and KU band movable disc satellite receiving system allows us to receive many telecasts (most require a subscription for down link) of educational nature. 22 commercial satellites, each with 18 to 22 transponders provide a tremendous source of educational programs. Check out the schedule of programs for 2003-2004 for more information.
