MnSU's "super-site" at mnsu.edu/supersite/ offers visitors and users a means to navigate the breadth and depth of web-delivered information at mnsu.edu. All sub-sites can be reached through the links on MSU's super-site.

The evolution of MnSU's web site occured through the work of the Web Task Force. Information about its membership, mandate, and previous meeting agendas can be reviewed at the Task Force page.

MnSU's first Web Plan was completed in July 2002. Today, the University's enrollment management initiative is driving a new review of the MnSU website, and the next version will be delivered sometime in 2008.

MnSU sub-sites

MnSU sub-sites are the location of real content at mnsu.edu. All University colleges, departments, offices, and programs that have an *mnsu.edu/* URL provide their constituencies critical information and opportunities for input regarding their programs and services.

Web developers who work on University sub-sites operate under the direction of vice presidents, deans, directors, and managers. Web site planning needs may be unfamiliar to these executives, and developers need the opportunity to review guidelines and discuss strategic and tactical issues with people who understand this discipline.

  • Use of the official University website template is critical for all subsite developers. Training is available for those who have not done web authoring work previously, and may need support to achieve their department goals.
  • You will find the General Guidelines, and especially the Website Updating page, valuable in guiding your work.
  • Consultation with members of the ITS Web Development team may also benefit your project. Please contact us to set up a meeting.
