Using PageEdit

UPLOADING OF FILES: .jpg, .doc, .pdf, .ppt, .mp3, .wav, podcasts, among others; to access this feature, you need to determine whether you want to place a photo on the web page, or add a file for your visitor to open as a link (or as a file to download).

Getting Started

Once you have been given permission to use the PageEdit web tool you will be able to login and edit the site that you have been granted access to edit. To get permission you must request that your director or department chair email Ted Johnson, tedmund.johnson@mnsu.edu, to grant you access.

On the page you want to edit, click the "edit" link near the bottom left

and log in.

Once you are logged in you can now edit existing text, add text, add pictures, add links, and add files.

To edit text, place your cursor on the Smartbuilder Editor page and make your changes.

You can also copy text from a document and paste it directly into the page. If you are pasting from a Word document we advise you to use either the "Paste as plain text" tool or the "Paste from Word" tool because this gets rid of formatting that Word has added.

If you paste in text that you would like to be a heading and different from the rest of the text you can choose different heading formats from the Format dropdown box. At this time Heading 1 is not available. For more details visit the Formatting page.
