Bringing our Website into the 21st Century

Everyone who uses our website—students, faculty, staff, partners and community members—want to find answers to questions, complete transactions and make connections with our University. After 20+ years using its original technology, our website will be getting a major upgrade over the next 12 months.

Why: a modern website for today's audiences

The University Website Upgrade is a project that is based on a new web strategy that represents a better way of approaching Minnesota State University, Mankato's web presence. The redesign, improved user experience and updated content management process will lead to greater efficiencies within the campus community, and improved recruitment and retention of our students. Project steps and stakeholders

This process will be far-reaching: every college, division, department and office across the University that has its own website will be transitioning to the new framework over the coming year. Representatives from the President's Cabinet will be overseeing the strategic direction of this project, and college and division Web Content Advocates have been identified who will serve their units in a key liaison role between the Strategic Oversight group and the tactical implementation group.
