$1 million Establish a full-time KISPC coordinator to serve as an advocate for the Institute. ($50,000)
$750,000 Fund release time for multi-disciplinary curriculum development and faculty research for the advancement of peace. ($37,500)
Establish a coordinator's position at the Mediation Center, which will serve to train students and faculty in conflict resolution and to teach mediation skill. ($37,500)
$500,000 Ensure that the Kessel Lecture can annually bring a nationally-known speaker to the Mankato region and sponsor a major fund-raising event in conjunction with the lecturer's visit. ($25,000)
Provide support for an annual symposium and publication of the proceedings as part of the Institute's ongoing commitment to peace scholarship and community outreach. ($25,000)
Purchase release time for K-12 teachers to develop school curriculum in any area of study supported by the KISPC mission. ($25,000)
Enable an annual "MSU Peace Camp" for 60 pre-college students, with a faculty coordinator and college students as tutors and counselors. ($25,000)
$300,000 Offer six "Peace Scholarships" of $2,500 each year. ($15,000)
Provide professional development funds for school and University teachers to attend peace studies workshops, conferences and seminars. ($15,000)
Endow the annual operating costs of the Mediation Center. ($15,000)
$250,000 Fund two graduate assistantships to support the work of the Institute and offer students an opportunity to immense themselves in the study and promotion of peace. ($12,500)
Purchase library materials to build a collection that can be shared among University, school and public libraries in the Mankato area. ($12,500)
$150,000 Develop ongoing publications such as a newsletter, resource lists, and training materials for campus and community groups and individuals. ($7,500)
Underwrite operating expenses of the Institute. ($7,500)
$50,000 Award one "Peace Scholarship" of $2,500 each year. ($2,500)
$25,000 Ensure access to publications and annual organizational memberships vital to the Institute's Resource Center and Information Center. ($1,250)
