The Weekly Reader showcases readings from and discussions with authors from the local, state, and occasionally national levels. The Mankato and southern Minnesota community is rich in literary talent. Hosts Benjamin Allocco and Amy Fladeboe discuss the craft of writing with their guests and gives them a forum to highlight their work. Any genre of writing is open for discussion - fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, journalism, screenwriting, songwriting, comedy writing, etc. Tune in and discover the writing talent and creative ideas flowing from people all around us. About the Hosts

Amy Fladeboe is a graduate student in the MFA program at MSU-Mankato. She has worked as a nonprofit grantwriter, creative writing instructor, and a Composition instructor. Amy dabbles in poetry and non-fiction but she is currently hard at work on her first novel.

Benjamin Allocco is enrolled in the MFA program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He teaches English Composition and has worked as a freelance editor. He is a poet and an aspiring novelist currently at work on a trilogy.
