MSU > KMSU

Thank you, Listeners!

Our spring 2008 pledge drive was an unqualified success. Your generous support makes it possible for us to continue to bring you the programming you desire. As you can see below, we are really excited about the tower project finally getting started. We truly do make great radio together!

Our "new" transmitter is re-tuned, and the new tower project has started!

Clear Channel Radio donated a gently used Harris 20 Kilowatt FM transmitter to KMSU this past summer, and we have re-tuned it to 89.7 FM, so it works on your radio. We'll plug it in and turn it on at the base of our new tower probably sometime in late July or early August. The tower project isunderway! We need to thank our friends at MnDOT, who are building the new tower for KMSU, as well as our partners at Radio Mankato, KTOE, KATO,KDOG and KXLP, who are collaborating on a number of site improvements. These are very good days for the Maverick! Our thanks, also, to Mark Persons and Marv Olson, contract engineers responsible for the re-tuning effort.

We want your opinion...

KMSU, with help from Minnesota State University's Organizational Effectiveness Research Group (OERG), is embarking in an online survey effort. If you receive an e-mailed survey, please take time to fill it out. It should take less than ten minutes, and the responses are completely anonymous. We are very interested to learn what our constituents have to say about our programming and whether KMSU is making a compelling case for financial support.

We're always "on" for you: 24/7/366 (It's a leap year)
