Rayito comes from a musical family. His father is a Flamenco guitar
player. At age 14 Rayito moved with his family to Miami where he went
to school at New World School of the Arts. Rayito has already had
opportunities to collaborate with an amazing line-up of partners,
including Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Paco de Lucia, Julio
Iglesias, Paulina Rubio, Ricky Martin. Rayito's debut cd recieved
three Latin Grammy Nominations.

griot and kora player Mamadou Diabate moved from his Bamako to the
US in the late 1990s. and now makes his home in Durham NC. In 2005,
his previous recording titled, "Behmanka" on the World Village
record label, earned him a Grammy nomination. "Heritage"
is recorded with a versatile quintet that includes: guitar, balafon,
calabash, and talking drum.
