Mísia is the new voice of fado; a form
of music imbued with poetic mystery. Fado came into being midway
throught the nineteenth century and took root in the working class
quarters of Lisbon. Fado is akin to the tango and the blues. Mísia
is accompanied by piano, violin and accordian with the Portuguese
guitar providing the rhythm.
