Using Microsoft OneNote for Computer Lab Management
Microsoft OneNote 2007 is a tool for note taking, information gathering and multi-user collaboration. It has support for multiple notebooks, tables, hyper-links, server hosted shared notebooks, search functions and drawing tools. It also links with Microsoft Outlook with its contacts, tasks and calendar items. See how you can use all of these features and many more to manage your computer labs and the people involved with that process. OneNote offers a real-time sync function that can be used as a “blog” to communicate with staff. Even audio and video files can be managed within OneNote, allowing for multimedia training, photo and video inventory or even some voice mail integration. Using the Task and Priority functions, focus can be made on ideas and those common “To Do” items that need closer attention. With all of these features and more, it may be that “killer app” you are looking for to manage your computer labs.
