This past fall, Roosevelt University’s IT Staff successfully deployed Windows Vista and Office 2007 to all labs, classrooms, and public spaces. We also deployed and migrated Vista and Office 2007 to faculty and staff receiving new machines. We will share some of many challenges and successes that we experienced while getting these machines deployed. We will also discuss the tools used to determine hardware/software compatibility, test applications, trouble shoot problems and find workarounds. We will wrap up this discussion with the techniques and tools used to create and deploy images, migrate end-users data and provide ongoing end-user support.
