You can complete a major or a minor in the Scandinavian Studies Program, which is an interdisciplinary program involving MSU departments and programs in four colleges of the university: the Colleges of Arts and Humanities; Business; Science, Engineering and Technology; and Social and Behavioral Sciences.

We recommend that you combine a Scandinavian Studies major or minor with studies in fields such as international business, international relations, world languages & cultures, political science, or social work.

Courses are offered in departments and programs including Art, English, Aging Studies, International Relations, Law Enforcement , Mass Communications, World Languages & Cultures, Political Science, and Social Work.

In addition, MSU departments of computer and information sciences, international business, and social work have set up foreign exchange programs.

Additional courses may also be completed in language, literature, history, and peace studies at Gustavus Adolphus College in nearby St. Peter, Minnesota.
