Jean Haar is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is also the founding director of the Center for Engaged Leadership (CEL). As director, Jean creates and implements programs and services that support the professional growth of school leaders.
Jean's professional career has focused on education. She began her career as a teacher and principal in the K-12 setting before moving into higher education. She completed her bachelor and master's degree at South Dakota State University. She completed her doctorate at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Jean's family includes her husband, Joel and two children, Robert and Megan.
