Why Join?Page address: http://www.mnsu.edu/learningcommunities/whyjoin.html
Students who choose learning communities are more likely to enjoy school, to succeed, and to graduate.
From your first day of classes to Commencement, you'll find it easier to take an active role in your learning and your future when you participate in a learning community. Participants have significantly higher cumulative grade point averages, stay in school longer, have more meaningful interactions with faculty, and report a greater satisfaction with their overall college experience.
There are day-to-day benefits as well, like co-enrollment in core courses together with your learning community, ready-made study groups, service opportunities, and social events just for learning community participants. You'll have the advantages of a small college learning environment with all of the resources of one of Minnesota's outstanding larger universities.
