Hi, I'm Jessica! I am the Director of the LGBT Center at MSU, Mankato. I was hired in October of 2004. I'm pretty sure I have the most awesome job in Mankato. My mom always told me to do what I love, so indeed, I work as a professional Lesbian! I graduated with both a B.F.A and M.A from Minnesota State, Mankato, so I'm a long time Maverick! I'm dedicated to creating a safe and respectful climate for the LGBT folk on campus and in our community and fighting for justice and fairness for all marginalized people. If you are struggling with issues of sexual identity or you know someone who is, please don't hesitate to call or email. You are not alone! I'm here to help. In addition to striving to change the world, I love traveling and wait for it.......watching TV, (No, I am not ashamed.) I also love my cat, two shih tzus and Art (both making it and looking at it). You can find me in my office in the CSU (194). Check out the center! I hope to see you around.

My name is Justin Martin and I am one of the Graduate Assistants here at the LGBT Center! I am pursuing my MS in Educational Leadership and will be graduating in the summer of 2013. Here at the Center, I work with the peer panels and speakers for classrooms and groups around campus, help plan events for students, and am here as an advocate for each of you. I love this work and I put a great amount of passion into what I do. My favorite pastimes are cooking, traveling, chasing unicorns and spending time with those I love. I am so excited for all the great things that are happening at the Center, feel free to stop in and say hi!

Howdy!  I'm so happy to be working in the LGBT Center here at MSU!  I am currently working on a MS in Experiential Education.  I hail from the Great State of Texas where I attended Texas A&M University and received my BS in Political Science. My favorite part of my job is bringing excellent programs and speakers to MSU for our students and community. I love getting outside, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and I'm really looking forward to trying out some winter sports like cross country skiing!  I hope you'll come by and introduce yourself!  I look forward to meeting you and helping you in anyway I can!  :)
