DIRECTOR

Hi, I'm Jessica! I am the Director of the LGBT Center at MSU, Mankato. I was hired in October of 2004. I'm pretty sure I have the most awesome job in Mankato.  My mom always told me to do what I love, so indeed, I work as a professional Lesbian!  I graduated with both a B.F.A and M.A from Minnesota State, Mankato, so I'm a long time Maverick!  I'm dedicated to creating a safe and respectful climate for the LGBT folk on campus and in our community and fighting for justice and fairness for all marginalized people. If you are struggling with issues of sexual identity or you know someone who is, please don't hesitate to call or email. You are not alone! I'm here to help.  In addition to striving to change the world, I love traveling and wait for it.......watching TV, (No, I am not ashamed.) I also love my cat, two shih tzus and Art (both making it and looking at it).  You can find me in my office in the CSU (194). Check out the center! I hope to see you around.

Greetings!

My name is Jerry and this is my second year with the LGBT Center at Minnesota State Mankato. Last year was an exciting adventure of panels, conferences, speakers, and other fantastic events! I imagine that this school year will be equally interesting  thanks to all the great students, staff, and visitors that help us stay proud. In addition to being a part of the LGBT Center, I look forward to completing my master’s degree in May in the Gender and Women’s Studies Department. Please feel free to stop in and say ‘hi’!

Photo of John LeeI'm John and proud to be a part of the LGBT center at MSU as a first year graduate student. I look forward to working with my fellow staff members and the LGBT community/allies on campus to engage, educate, and institute programming that is beneficial for everyone. Speaking about LGBT issues is something for which I have a passion and would be happy to share my views with anyone. Over the next few years I'll be working towards a MS in Experiential Education. In my spare time I'm an avid outdoors man and love spending time with family and friends.
