Soulforce Coming to Bethany Lutheran College!Homophobia is globally pervasive, and no community or school escapes its reach. In 2006, during the inaugural Equality Ride, participants traveled to nineteen schools and engaged students, faculty, and administrators in conversation about the damaging effects of homophobic doctrine, the false notion that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender identities are sick and sinful.
This year, the journey continues with fifty young adults going to thirty-two Christian colleges and universities. Two buses are taking the group on two distinct routes around the country in creative pursuit of social justice. In doing so, they are empowered to change countless lives. Love liberates the oppressed, redeems the lost, and resurrects the spirit.

Throughout its history, Take Back the Night has inspired both women and men to confront sexual violence. The unifying theme is the assertion that all human beings have the right to be free from violence, the right to be heard: the right to take back the night! In short, to Take Back the Night means reclaiming the fears the night has instilled in women and survivors. Each year, MSU commits one night in April to Take Back the Night as a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
This event is free and open to all.
Show your support for survivors of sexual violence, your commitment to ending sexual violence, your call to action, and your willingness to Take Back the Night! For more information, contact Lindsay at lindsay.gullingsrud@mnsu.edu or 507-389-5127.
