Woodland Weeds and Invasives, and Extension Service Q&A

With woodlands next to many residential areas in Mankato, woody invasive species can quickly choke out native flowers and plants. This talk will focus on new as well as tried and true techniques to combat and identify pests such as buckthorn, honeysuckle, and garlic mustard. • Presenter: Shane Bugeja, has been the local UMN Extension Educator for Blue Earth and Le Sueur County since 2017. He holds a Masters in Soil Science as well as a Bachelors in Agronomy from Iowa State University.
