Minnesota State University, Mankato and Wells Fargo® have teamed up to provide ATM/PIN-debit card functionality to the MavCARD to Minnesota State Mankato students and faculty/staff.
When you link your MavCARD to a Wells Fargo College Checking® account1 (students), a Premium Membership® Checking Package2 (faculty/staff), or an existing Wells Fargo® checking account, your MavCARD functions as an ATM card and PIN-debit card.

- $2,500 in combined deposit or qualifying credit balances

- Interest earned on entire daily collected balance on days the balance is $500 or more. A Premium Membership Checking account requires a $100 minimum opening deposit.
- A qualifying Direct Deposit is a Direct Deposit of your salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income of $100 or more per deposit, electronically deposited to your Premium Membership Checking account by your employer or an outside agency. Transfers from one account to another, or deposits made at a banking location or ATM, do not qualify as a Direct Deposit.
- A qualifying Automatic Transfer is a recurring monthly Automatic Transfer of $75 or more per transfer from a Premium Membership Checking account to a Wells Fargo consumer savings account.
ATM/PIN-debit card
When your Minnesota State Mankato MavCARD is linked to a Wells Fargo® checking account, you can use it for cash withdrawals and account balances at over 12,000 Wells Fargo® and Wachovia ATMs for free, and at any ATM or business that accepts PIN-debit transactions. All ATM and/or PIN-debit transactions using your Minnesota State Mankato MavCARD are deducted from your primary linked Wells Fargo checking account.
