The thin magnetic stripe on the back of your MavCard (1995 - Spring 2006) had allowed you to pay for campus services such as photocopying and vending. This stripe is referred to as the Cash Stripe and the money placed on the stripe is referred to as MavCash. The new MavCASH is an online system.
Money on your Vending Cash Stripe (narrow stripe on back side of your MavCard) can be transferred to your new MavCASH account - stop by the MavCard Office during business hours.
The Cash Stripe is not linked to your TCF account.
Take proper care of your MavCard. The MavCash on your Vending Cash Stripe is just like cash. If your MavCard is lost or stolen, or it is damaged to the point where your Vending Cash Stripe is no longer readable, the MavCash on your Vending Cash Stripe is non-refundable.
