To Sign Up
Students
- If you link your MavCARD with a Wells Fargo® checking account, that account automatically becomes your designated bank account for the Direct Deposit program.
- If you have not linked your MavCARD with a Wells Fargo checking account, and wish to do so, visit the Wells Fargo banking location nearest you.
- If you have an existing Wells Fargo checking account that is not linked to your MavCARD and you wish to link it, visit the Wells Fargo banking location nearest you.
- If you have an account with another bank that you wish to use as your designated bank account for the Direct Deposit program, you need to complete the Student Direct Deposit Program Authorization form.
- You may either print the online form or stop in at the Campus Hub at SU117 to pick up a form.
- Remember to sign the form and attach a voided check (checking account) or deposit slip (savings account) so your bank account information can be updated.
- Completed forms are submitted to the Campus Hub, SU117.
Faculty / Staff
If you wish to initiate or change your Employee Direct Deposit to your Wells Fargo checking account, you may do the following:
- go to mnsu.edu/humanres and select Your Pay Stub - Self Service under Quick Links and login to the State of Minnesota Employee Self Service website
or obtain the State of Minnesota Direct Deposit Authorization form at:

and return the completed form to Human Resources Office, WA 336.

Students
Financial Aid:
An email notice is sent to notify you of a financial aid disbursement. To view the amount of the payment, log into the secure e-services web site at mnsu.edu/eservices,
- Enter your Tech ID and PIN, and select the I Agree buttons
- Select Bills and Payment (left side list area)
- Select Full Account Detail (left side list area)
Direct deposit payments are noted as “Payment to Student” on the detail screen.
Student Payroll:
Payroll Advices (paystub information) are online.
Important: Always verify that funds scheduled to be directly deposited in your bank account are posted by your financial institution before entering into transactions that authorize the withdrawal of those funds.
Changing Banks or Bank Accounts
Students
If you change banks or bank accounts, please keep in mind that you need to update your direct deposit authorization with the university. Simply submit a new Student Direct Deposit Program Authorization form with your current information.
Minnesota State University, Mankato makes payments to financial aid recipients and student payroll employees through the Direct Deposit program. This program allows you to have your financial aid (less payments for outstanding charges) and/or student paycheck deposited directed into your designated bank account on scheduled disbursement dates and/or paydays.
