Make a Purchase

MavCASH is an online on-campus vending account for use with snack and soda/pop machines, photocopy machines, the Paylot, MavPRINT and to pay for purchases at Copy Shoppes, the on-campus Barnes and Noble Bookstore and University Dining Service locations on the Minnesota State Mankato campus.

MavCASH is separate from the Wells Fargo Banking account feature.

University Dining Service Instructions

• The University Dining Service employee swipes the wide stripe area of you MavCARD into the university dining service MavCASH reader.
• The University Dining Service employee will total your purchase and the cash register, linked to a MavCASH reader, will electronically deduct the amount of your purchase from your MavCARD 's MavCASH account.

University Dining Services

MavCASH is separate and not associated with Flex Dollars and Meal Plans - these are administered by Residential Life and University Dining Services.

Beverage (pop/soda) Machine Instructions (10% discount)

• Swipe the wide stripe area of you MavCARD into the beverage MavCASH reader (wide stripe facing away from the display).
• The MavCASH reader displays the transaction amount.
• Select an item to purchase.
• The displays says transaction valid if you have enough funds in your MavCASH account.
• The machine will deduct the amount of your purchase from your MavCARD 's MavCASH account and show your remaining MavCASH balance (twice).
• You have 1 minute before the MavCASH reader times out. So if you walk away before purchasing, select Cancel on the MavCASH reader.

Snack Machine Instructions (10% discount)

• Swipe the wide stripe area of you MavCARD into the snack MavCASH reader (wide stripe facing away from the display).
• The MavCASH reader displays the highest transaction amount item in the machine.
• The MavCASH reader displays your MavCARD 's MavCASH balance.
• Select the item you would like to purchase.
• Select an item to purchase.
• The displays says transaction valid if you have enough funds in your MavCASH account.
• The machine will deduct the amount of your purchase from your MavCARD 's MavCASH account and show your remaining MavCASH balance (twice).

Photocopy Machine Instructions

• Swipe the wide stripe area of you MavCARD into the photocopy machine MavCASH reader (wide stripe facing away from the display).
• The MavCASH reader displays your MavCARD 's MavCASH balance.
• Select number of copies on photocopy machine.
• Select Start button on photocopy machine.
• Every time you press the copy button the photocopy machine will deduct 10 cents from your MavCARD MavCASH account and show your remaining MavCASH balance.
• You have 30 seconds before the MavCASH reader times out, so if you walk away before purchasing, select Done on the MavCASH reader.
