The purpose of the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program is to provide first-generation, low-income students and students from groups underrepresented in graduate education the opportunity to effectively prepare for graduate studies. The program aims to provide participants with high-quality and relevant research opportunities, access to technology, and concrete assistance in order to ensure their success in graduate programs.
This program is partially funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education totaling $220,000 for the 2006-2007 year, with additional funding from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
