Ronald E. McNair Achievement Program
The MSU Ronald E. McNair Achievement Program offers:
- Research opportunities for participants
- Assistance in linking students with faculty mentors
- Counseling, advising, and tutoring services
- Workshops to help students identify and apply for graduate programs
- Workshops to help students succeed in their research projects
- Information on various graduate program
- Preparation for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
Activities and Program Features
The McNair Program features academic support and seminars during the fall and spring semesters, as well as a summer component that prepares students for the GRE. McNair Scholars are eligible to receive the following incentives:
- Cash stipends
- Up to $500 for research supplies
- Funds to supplement travel to conferences and campus visits
