What do the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, the Civil Rights Movement, Women’s Liberation, the Vietnam War, and the first and second Iraq wars have in common? All these historical events (and more) occurred during Carol Kroehler Mueller’s life. Furthermore, she taught elementary school for over forty-five years, and has spent almost eighty years living on a farm. So, interviewing Carol was an opportunity of a lifetime for the members of our group. And Carol gave an impressive, top-notch interview!
While it’s true that our group project presented several obstacles, ranging from personal time conflicts to technology hurdles, we managed to pull together and work towards a quality end product. As a result, we have gained valuable insight regarding the importance of oral history preservation, and we greatly appreciate the technical aspects of producing documentary movies.
