Dee is an amazing woman. Her stories about being a Rosie the Riveter were both interesting and inspirational. Interviewing was the best part of the project because we got to see the joy in her face as she told her life stories. Dee was an ideal person for the interview. She welcomed us into her home and described how her life was full of interesting stories, included being a Rosie the Riveter, having a working mother, and being a mother herself.
Our group learned a lot about technology including how to run a video camera, using back up sound, editing movies in Windows Movie Maker, and editing digital pictures. We also learned what it was like to be a woman and an American during WWII. This includes how work and family life changed for women during this time. While the men were off at war, the women worked as support on the home front.
