We feel that it is important to record oral history so that not only the present generation can learn from it, but also generations of the future too. We had a great time working on this project and we learned many things. We were able to find out how early childhood experiences have changed. It was interesting to get a woman’s point of view as well as a point of view from someone of a different culture and country.
This project is a great way to show women like ourselves that we can do projects or jobs such as working with technology just like men can. By paying attention to past generations of women we are able to help change the future. We hope that everyone benefits from Haruko’s story as we have. We feel that she was a perfect choice for this project and we hope that it is a helpful contribution to this website.
