It was very interesting getting to know Dr. Leah Rogne, hearing her stories and her unique views on major social changes that occurred during her youth. She had many stories to tell of the last half of the twentieth century. We were interested in the fact that she was born in a home where both parents were very active in politics. This gave her a different view on the world from a very young age.
Learning how to upload videos and working with this different technology will help us in later classes. We learned interesting things, like how to work with digital video. It’s fun to edit clips and interesting to use all of these new programs. It is proving to be an interesting experience working with each other and learning to rely on one another’s individual skills.
Knowing we are in the process of creating something that will be enjoyed by a large audience is quite a thrill. We are also helping preserve the history of Dr. Rogne’s life and look forward to giving her a copy of the interview video that she will be able to share for years with her family and friends. This will actually become an heirloom for Dr. Rogne that can be passed down for many generations to come.
