As a general rule, a student with two or more years of high school study or its equivalent will qualify for study at the intermediate level. Such students are encouraged to take CLEP tests during the spring or summer prior to their first classes. It is possible to receive up to 16 hours of credit and to bypass the corresponding courses. Students may not take a proficiency test for a course in which they are enrolled. Further information is available at the Modern Language Department or by contacting: theresa.dickey@mnsu.edu
