Activity Fees
Under the MSSA Constitution the Student Senate plays a central and determining role in the adoption of the fee schedule and the allocation of $2 million in Student Activity Fee receipts to various programs. The Student Senate's Student Allocations Committee conducts hearings to determine what to recommend to the Student Senate for its consideration.
The Senate also plays a key role in setting the Student Union Fee ($3,487,000 est.), the State-wide Student Government Fee ($170,000) for the Minnesota State University Student Association (MSUSA), the Technology Fee ($2.9 million), Health Service Fee ($1,448,000 est.), Campus Recreation Facility Fee ($840,000 est.), and the Intercollegiate Athletics Fee ($1,089,000).
