According to the Bylaws - Article IV, Section 8 - Budget Committee (Bylaw as amended 4/26/17)
Subsection A: The Budget Committe is coordination with the Office Manager shall be responsible for setting the Senate budget for the next fiscal year.
Subsection B: The voting membership of the Budget Committee shall consist of the Student Government President, Student Government Vice President and Senate Speaker, 4 students recommended by the Senate and approved by the Student Government President consistent with the Student Government President's appointment authority under Article IV, Section 1 of the Student Government Constitution.
Subsection C: All expenses should be reported to the budget Committee chair, or Office Manager, within five days of their occurrence.
Subsection D: Any action by the Senate or its officers, including but not limited to the members of the Student Government President's Cabinet, that is not required by law, contract, or the Student Government Constitution and results in a deficit in the Senate budget is forbidden and in no case whatsoever is allowed.
Subsection E: The Chair of the Budget Committee will present a budget proposal for consideration by the Student Allocations Committee consistent with SAC's procedures and deadlines. The budget proposal, along with SAC recommendations, shall be submitted to the full Senate in April of each year.
