The Student Government makes several services available to students and you are encouraged to make use of them as the need arises.
Students at Minnesota State Mankato have the right to free legal advice. The Student Association provides a licensed practicing attorney through funding from student activity fees. The Student's Attorney advises and informs students and special interest groups at Minnesota State Mankato on a part-time basis.
A unique 2 hour checkout program sponsored in partnership with the MSSA, Library Services, and Barnes & Noble University Bookstore. It provides free access for some of the more expensive textbooks listed on the MavTextbook Reserve. The Minnesota State Student Association works with Barnes & Noble, interested faculty and Library Services to determine which textbooks go on the checkout list each semester.
Rental car options for Students at a very low and affordable cost. The contract with Enterprise CarShare is administered by the Minnesota State Student Association as one of its signature service programs. The two rental vehicles are strategically located in Lot 11a, right outside the Student Senate's Office in the Centennial Student Union. Customers include any domestic or international student who has a qualified drivers license. Faculty and staff are also welcomed to rent a sedan.
