The Minnesota State University for Seniors (MSUS) welcomes anyone 55 years or older who wishes to share the joys of learning and friendship in an academic setting. There are no prerequisites, examinations or grades. Special events and social activities provide opportunities to make new friends. Annual Membership is $10 (July 1 to June 30); tuition fees are $25 for each term.

Where We Are

Most classes are held off-campus at a variety of community locations. A few classes are held on the MSU campus which is completely handicapped accessible. Parking permits for MSU are included in registration fees. These permits can be used in specific lots during the hours when classes are scheduled.

What We Do

MSUS was begun, in 1996, by a steering committee of community leaders. It is a member-directed organization responsible for its own financial, clerical and programming functions. The University, as our sponsoring institution, has generously provided classroom and office space. Sessions are planned for fall, winter, spring and summer. Classes are usually taught by members who share their knowledge and experience in such areas of interest as history, literature, arts, theater, music, science, philosophy and personal finance.
