This program further enhances your skills, making you a more effective conductor and teacher, and,
if you choose, prepares you for further study.

General Information

  • A small, highly selective program accepting a maximum of 2 students at any given time.
  • Preparing high quality, sensitive conductors in the apprenticeship tradition including:
    • Weekly private lessons
    • Weekly seminar in pedagogy, literature, philosophy and artistry
    • Focused coursework in the history of choral music through its literature
    • Podium time with the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers
    • Opportunities to assist with undergraduate music education coursework
    • Focused research and analytic writing
    • Intense reflection in a supportive and nurturing environment

Graduate Assistantship Opportunities

  • Full and Partial Tuition Reimbursement
  • $4500-$9000 Stipend
